Review Policy

Due to a sudden influx of busy schedule changes (and life), I am unable to fulfill ANY book review requests at this time. There may be an opening in 2025, but I am not sure yet. I apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding. Please let me know if you would like help in finding other book reviewers that would be interested or available. For those who have sent in a request before this announcement and haven’t heard back yet, I am unable to fulfill your request as well. Thank you for your time.

The books featured on my platforms primarily come from virtual tours that I host, organized by different publicity services. However, I welcome outreach from authors, publishers, publicists, or anyone involved in the book industry. Before contacting me at michellethebookcritic@gmail.com for further discussion, please familiarize yourself with the following review guidelines:

   - Provide a physical copy of the book (I can review an ebook, but you MUST provide a physical copy after!)
   - Cover the cost of shipping (I am U.S. based).
   - Include at least three to four relevant links (purchase links, author's website, social media, publisher's website, etc.).
   - Specify any deadlines for posting.

   - I use a five-star rating system, including half stars.
   - I review all genres, but books cannot have NSFW covers.
   - I welcome books from indie and self-published authors.

   - All communication will be through email (michellethebookcritic@gmail.com).
   - I will post about the book on all my platforms unless specified otherwise.
   - If there are specific platforms you need the book posted on, please let me know.

   - I offer various content formats such as blog tours, Bookstagram features, BookTok tours, giveaways, guest posts, interviews, spotlights, cover reveals, blitzes, excerpts, and more.
   - Again, a physical copy of the book is required to be sent either before or after for any content posting due to my eye conditions.

Please also note:

- I do not monetize my platforms or allow ads.
- I review books solely for the love of reading and to share my opinions.
- I do not charge for reviews, graphics creation, or any form of monetization through ads or ambassador programs on social media.

Thank you for understanding these guidelines, and I look forward to our potential collaboration.

[Book Tour] Cupcakes Everywhere: One Sweet Tale of Overcoming Infertility by Erin Sarris

Cupcakes Everywhere: One Sweet Tale of Overcoming Infertility by Erin Sarris US Tour - 20TH - 28TH MAY Genre: Children’s picture book Age: 0-6 Book Review: Whether or not you have experience with infertility, Cupcakes Everywhere commits itself to be a sweet picture book meant for the whole family. This is a story I would recommend to be shared with your child, especially in this day and age, as infertility and IVF are still known as taboo subjects. Sarris has a profound ability to communicate her knowledge of infertility and IVF using a simple, yet delicious, comparison--- Cupcakes! Bessa and her vector graphic illustrations also bring a perfect Corporate Memphis feel, appropriate and fitting for a modern-day children's book. All in all, Cupcakes Everywhere is a comforting, heart-to-heart story that can ignite significant conversations with you and your child. I absolutely loved it!
